2025 CFA Fall Executive Retreat: Two Days of Learning, Collaboration and Inspiration

The 2025 CFA Fall Executive Retreat offered members a unique oppor­tunity to connect, learn and explore how peers in the industry operate, providing insights and ideas that can be applied directly to their own businesses.

Attendees arrived and began the retreat with informal networking, re­connecting with fellow members and building new relationships. On day two the action kicked off with a Profit Builder Workshop led by CFA consulting member Patrick Shurney, giving members practical strategies to strengthen operations and profitability. Following the workshop, par­ticipants headed out for project site tours, beginning with a visit to Talpey Construction, followed by Wettemen Brothers Construction. Lunch was hosted by Carr Concrete Construction, providing another opportunity to discuss lessons learned and best practices in a casual setting. The day continued with visits to two more project sites, allowing attendees to see a variety of approaches, techniques and solutions firsthand.

The retreat concluded with a family-style Italian dinner, offering one last chance for networking, discussion and reflection on the ideas and strategies observed throughout the day. Attendees departed with renewed inspiration and a wealth of actionable insights to take back to their teams, reinforcing the value of learning from peers and exploring new ways to advance their own operations.
