Farmington Hills, MI – NEx, an ACI Center of Excellence for Nonmetallic Building Materials, is excited to announce a new partnership with the Concrete Foundations Association (CFA) aimed at advancing the use of nonmetallic building materials in concrete foundations.

NEx is a leading research center focused on the development and promotion of innovative and sustainable nonmetallic building materials, with a mission to advance the use of these materials in the construction industry. The CFA is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to promoting the use of cast-in-place concrete foundations in residential and light commercial construction.

Together, NEx and the CFA will collaborate, sharing expertise and resources, to promote the use of nonmetallic building materials in concrete foundations, with a focus on improving durability, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness. 

“This partnership between NEx and the CFA represents a significant step forward in our efforts to promote the use of nonmetallic building materials in concrete foundations,” said Jerzy Zemajtis, NEx executive director. “By working together, we can leverage our respective strengths and expertise to drive positive change in the industry and promote the use of sustainable and innovative materials.”

As part of the partnership, NEx and the CFA will collaborate on research and development of new nonmetallic building materials for use in concrete foundations. The two organizations will also work together on educational initiatives and training programs to promote the use of nonmetallic building materials in concrete foundations.
